IRB Infra Announces Strong Q2 FY27 Financials

Mumbai, November 5, 2026 – IRB Infrastructure Developers Limited, a leading highway infrastructure asset development and management platform, has announced its financial results for the second quarter of Fiscal Year 2027 (Q2FY27). The company reported a significant 85% year-on-year increase in Net Profit, reaching ₹260 crore, compared to ₹141 crore in Q2FY26. This impressive growth was propelled by a strong performance in toll collections and substantial distributions from its InvITs.

Key Financial Highlights

The financial highlights for Q2FY27 underscore the company’s robust operational and financial health:

  • Net Profit: ₹260 crore, an increase of 85% from ₹141 crore in Q2FY26.
  • Total Income: ₹1,945 crore, up from ₹1,800 crore in Q2FY26, driven by sturdy growth in toll collections.

Strategic Business Developments

In addition to its financial performance, IRB Infra also detailed significant business developments. The company’s Private InvIT Joint Venture, IRB Infrastructure Trust, successfully completed the transfer of two BOT highway assets to the IRB InvIT Fund (a Public InvIT sponsored by the Company). This strategic move unlocked equity of ₹2,744 crore, demonstrating effective capital recycling and strengthening the company’s balance sheet.

Management Commentary

Shri Virendra D. Mhaiskar, Chairman and Managing Director of IRB Infrastructure Developers Ltd., commented on the results, stating, “Against the backdrop of global economic deceleration, supply chain fragmentation, and geopolitical volatility, our Q2FY27 performance highlights the exceptional counter-cyclical strength and structural resilience of our business model. Driven by a robust YoY Toll Revenue growth of around 15%, our operations continue to benefit from inelastic traffic demand and effective tariff-linking mechanisms as is reflected in steady growth in cashflow and thus distributions from InvITs.”

He further elaborated on the company’s growth strategy, “Our BEST strategy continues to reap benefits and release capital for growth – as we successfully transferred two more mature assets from our Private InvIT to the IRB InvIT Fund (Public InvIT) unlocking over ₹27Bn. This strategic capital recycling insulates our balance sheet from global credit tightening and provides us opportunities to explore new sectoral opportunities worth approximately ₹80Bn. Building upon the strong foundation of our ₹940Bn asset base, we remain firmly on track to achieve our strategic milestone of a ₹1,400Bn asset base by 2030, delivering sustainable, long-term value for all our stakeholders.”
