ACME Solar Holdings Limited has signed a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Tata Power Company Limited (Tata Power-D) for a 50 MW Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project. The official signing took place on October 16, 2025, following the Letter of Award in September 2025.
Key Terms of the PPA
The PPA is set at a tariff of INR 4.43 per unit, designed to meet a minimum annual Capacity Utilization Factor (CUF) of 40%. The agreement includes a provision for four hours of peak-hour supply with 90% availability on a monthly basis. This initiative involves the integration of multiple renewable energy technologies, including Solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), ensuring the fulfillment of supply obligations as defined in the PPA.
Strategic Milestone
With this agreement, ACME Solar has PPAs for a cumulative capacity of 600 MW and 550 MWh of standalone BESS projects in this financial year to date. The 50 MW FDRE project marks a strategic advancement in ACME’s portfolio, aligning with the company’s focus on hybrid energy solutions.
