Management Commentary

Mr. Anil Jain, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, commented that Q2 FY27 was a good quarter despite the challenging business environment. He highlighted the consolidated revenue growth and healthy EBITDA margin, attributing strong performance to Agro Processing and overseas Plastics businesses. Improved receivables collections led to standalone operating cash flow reaching 180% of EBITDA, enabling timely repayment of NCDs. The company remains focused on improving collections and strengthening cash flow.

Challenges noted include adverse weather patterns, drought conditions in India affecting demand for micro-irrigation systems and agricultural pipes, and higher polymer and freight costs due to developments in West Asia. These were managed through timely pricing actions and supply chain management. The company also mentioned that polymer prices increased sharply during Q2 FY27 due to supply concerns, and policy measures like Minimum Import Price on PVC resin and withdrawal of customs duty exemption have helped reduce price volatility.
