Monthly Production Highlights
Bharat Coking Coal Limited has submitted its provisional production figures for the month of October 2026. The company reported a total raw coal production of 2.86 million tonnes, marking a 7.1% increase compared to the same period last year. Coking coal production saw a significant jump of 9.8% to 2.82 million tonnes, while non-coking coal production declined by 57.7% to 0.05 million tonnes.
Mine Type and Progressive Data
Production from underground mines stood at 0.02 million tonnes, a decrease of 75.6%, whereas opencast mines contributed 2.84 million tonnes, showing a 9.6% growth. In terms of progressive figures from April to October 2026, total raw coal production was 16.64 million tonnes, down by 9.7% year-on-year. Washed coking coal production increased by 13.2% to 0.93 million tonnes.
Overburden Removal and Offtake
Overburden removal for the month was 12.29 million cubic meters, a decrease of 7.3% compared to the previous year. The progressive overburden removal from April to October 2026 was 77.15 million cubic meters, a reduction of 18.8%. Raw coal offtake for October 2026 was 3.32 million tonnes, an increase of 11.1%, with progressive offtake at 19.88 million tonnes, a slight decrease of 0.9%.
