Flomic Expands Bhiwandi Warehouse Capacity
Flomic Global Logistics Limited has announced the expansion of its Bhiwandi warehouse, enhancing its storage capacity through the installation of a new multi-tier storage structure and long-span pallet racking. This initiative is designed to address the increasing demand for warehousing solutions in the Bhiwandi region by optimizing the utilization of its existing facility.
Multi-Tier Storage Structure
The company has implemented a new ground-plus-three tier structure, adding approximately 15,000 sq. ft. of storage area. This effectively increases the leasable area from 5,000 sq. ft. to 20,000 sq. ft. on the same footprint. This particular structure represents Flomic’s first outright procurement of such a facility, with the project being commissioned in July 2026 and completed in September 2026. A customer in the quick commerce segment has already occupied this space since September 2026.
Long-Span Pallet Racking
In conjunction with the multi-tier structure, Flomic also installed G+5 level long-span shelving during September and October 2026. This addition has brought on more than 2,000 pallet positions, increasing the warehouse’s total capacity to approximately 8,000 pallets. An FMCG customer has taken occupancy of these new pallet positions since October 2026.
Strategic Importance of Expansion
Lancy Barboza, CEO & Managing Director, stated, “Demand for warehousing in Bhiwandi remains strong, and our focus is on using every square foot of our existing facilities efficiently. Vertical expansion lets us add capacity quickly and serve fast-growing segments like quick commerce and FMCG without waiting for new facilities.” These expansions underscore Flomic’s commitment to space optimization and strengthening its contract logistics and warehousing capabilities to cater to high-growth customer segments.
