Maruti Suzuki Reports Record Q2 and H1 FY 2026-27 Financials

New Delhi, October 27, 2026 – Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has declared its financial results for the second quarter (July-September) and the first half (April-September) of the Financial Year 2026-27. The Board of Directors approved these results today, highlighting significant growth in sales volumes and net sales.

Q2 FY 2026-27 Performance Highlights

In the second quarter of FY 2026-27, Maruti Suzuki achieved its highest-ever quarterly total sales volume, reaching 696,654 units. This represents a robust growth of 26.5% compared to the same period last year. The domestic passenger vehicle market saw broad-based growth, with small cars up by 35.9% and SUVs by 68.2%, boosted by strong market response to newly introduced models. The company’s domestic market share increased by 2.2 percentage points to 40.8%. Despite enhanced production capacity, network inventory remained low at approximately 17 days with about 200,000 units in pending bookings.

Export sales for Q2 FY 2026-27 stood at 108,119 units, a slight decrease from 110,487 units in Q2 FY25-26, attributed to the challenging geopolitical situation.

Net Sales for the quarter reached an all-time high of INR 506,155 million, a significant increase from INR 401,358 million in the prior year’s quarter. Operating Profit (EBIT) was INR 28,037 million, down from INR 33,820 million in Q2 FY25-26, primarily due to West-Asia conflict-linked commodity price increases. Sequentially, this showed a growth of 10.8% from Q1 FY26-27.

However, due to sharp declines in non-operating income from mark-to-market losses on invested surplus, the Net Profit for Q2 FY27 was INR 24,149 million, down from INR 33,028 million in the same period last year.

H1 FY 2026-27 Performance Highlights

For the first half of FY 2026-27, Maruti Suzuki recorded its highest-ever half-yearly sales volume at 1,379,378 units, a year-on-year growth of 27.9%. This included domestic sales of 1,146,523 units and exports of 232,855 units.

Half-yearly Net Sales also hit a record INR 1,005,746 million, up from INR 767,564 million in H1 FY 2025-26. Net Profit for H1 FY 2026-27 was INR 57,670 million, compared to INR 70,609 million in H1 FY 2025-26.

Osamu Suzuki Centre of Excellence

The Board also approved the incorporation of a Section 8 company to establish the Osamu Suzuki Centre of Excellence. This initiative aims to honor Mr. Osamu Suzuki’s legacy by promoting Japanese manufacturing philosophy, culture, and teachings to enhance vocational and technical skills across India, fostering manufacturing excellence as a Corporate Social Responsibility activity.
