Aequs Reports Strong H1 FY27 Performance

Aequs Limited announced its financial results for the first half of FY27, showcasing significant expansion and growth. The company’s revenue surged by 50% year-over-year to ₹8,046 Mn. This impressive performance was fueled by a robust 42% growth in the Aerospace segment and a more than doubling of revenue from its Consumer business on a year-over-year basis.

Key Strategic Milestones

A key highlight for the period is the company’s Aerospace order book, which stood at USD 1,096 Mn, providing significant long-term revenue visibility. The agreement for the Safran A320 aircraft wheels marks a pivotal moment, being Aequs’ first serial-production contract with a tenure exceeding 15 years. These achievements underscore the company’s strategic focus on building a sustainable long-term business.

Aerospace and Consumer Segment Performance

The Aerospace segment continued its strong growth trajectory, benefiting from healthy demand and effective program execution. In the Consumer segment, while the Q2 volume ramp progressed slower than initially anticipated due to extended qualification timelines and supply chain constraints, Aequs views this as a temporary shift. The company is actively recalibrating its path to Consumer EBITDA breakeven, with a near-term focus on enhancing utilization and converting installed capacity into profitable growth.

Investment in Growth and Expansion

To support its next phase of expansion, Aequs is investing in its manufacturing capabilities. The company’s capital expenditure for H1 FY27 reached ₹1,597 Mn. Furthermore, a ₹6,500 Mn promoter warrant is intended to finance future expansion phases, including initiatives in Hosur. The company also noted the expansion of its relationships with Safran, now involving six entities and a broader manufacturing scope across critical aerospace components.

Leadership and Financial Highlights

Aravind Melligeri, Executive Chairman and CEO, commented on the results, emphasizing the company’s continued progress and long-term growth opportunities. The report also notes the appointment of Reenah Joseph as CFO, bringing extensive experience in corporate finance and capital markets. Financially, H1 FY27 saw EBITDA of ₹460 Mn, with an EBITDA margin of 6%. The company’s PAT for H1 FY27 was a loss of ₹1,054 Mn, attributed to consumer electronics operating costs now being expensed following the commencement of commercial operations.
