This collaboration will leverage HCLTech’s engineering expertise to support Rapidus’ ambitions in establishing next-generation semiconductor manufacturing capabilities in Japan, aiming to accelerate chip adoption and innovation.

HCLTech, a leading global technology company, has officially entered into a strategic partnership with Rapidus Corporation, a Japanese entity dedicated to the development and manufacturing of advanced logic semiconductors. This collaboration was announced on October 26, 2026, marking a significant step towards advancing semiconductor engineering capabilities.
Leveraging Engineering Expertise
As part of this partnership, HCLTech will inaugurate two development centers in India, located in Bengaluru and Hubli. These centers are specifically designed to support Rapidus’ evolving semiconductor engineering requirements. HCLTech will offer a comprehensive suite of services, including mask design, design infrastructure, process design kit development, design technology co-optimization, and layout design. This initiative will also focus on developing a pipeline of Indian engineering talent to meet Rapidus’ needs in Japan.
