IndusInd Bank: Approves 1 Lakh Employee Stock Options

IndusInd Bank has announced the approval of a grant of 1,00,000 stock options to 11 eligible employees. These options are convertible into an equal number of equity shares. The grant price is set at Rs. 849.55 per share, based on the previous trading day’s closing price. The vesting period is three years, with exercise available for five years post-vesting.

Employee Stock Option Grant Approved

IndusInd Bank has received approval from its Compensation and Nomination & Remuneration Committee for a significant employee stock option grant. On October 22, 2026, the committee sanctioned the issuance of 1,00,000 stock options under the Bank’s Employee Stock Option Scheme (ESOP). These options are convertible into 1,00,000 equity shares of the Bank upon exercise by the eligible employees.

Key Terms of the Grant

The stock options have been approved for 11 eligible employees. The primary terms governing this grant are as follows:

  • Grant Price: The price per share for these options is fixed at Rs. 849.55. This figure is derived from the closing price of IndusInd Bank’s shares on the NSE on October 21, 2026, representing the closing price of the previous trading day on the stock exchange with the highest trading volume.
  • Vesting Period: The options will vest over a period of 3 years from the date of the grant. The vesting schedule is spread across three intervals: 33% after the first year, another 33% after the second year, and the remaining 34% after the third year from the grant date.
  • Exercise Period: Eligible employees will have a window of 5 years from the date of vesting to exercise their stock options.

This initiative aims to align employee interests with shareholder value and incentivize long-term performance within the bank.
