Infosys and Truist have announced an expansion of their strategic collaboration aimed at strengthening Truist’s Al-first Global Capability Center (GCC) in India. This partnership will leverage Infosys’s financial services expertise and Al capabilities to accelerate transformation and value creation for Truist. The initiative involves consolidating current capabilities into a unified operating model, with over 1,000 colleagues expected to be onboarded, signifying a major milestone in building a scaled, future-ready innovation hub.

Strategic Collaboration Deepens for Global Capability Center

Infosys and Truist, a leading US-based financial services company, are expanding their strategic collaboration to bolster Truist’s Al-first Global Capability Center (GCC) located in India. Announced on October 19, 2026, this move signifies a deepening partnership focused on enhancing innovation, talent, and digital capabilities within India for Truist.

Accelerating Transformation and Value Creation

Through this expanded partnership, Infosys will deploy its extensive financial services expertise and Al-first capabilities to accelerate scalable transformation and drive enterprise-wide value for Truist. This initiative will see Truist consolidate capabilities previously managed by multiple suppliers into a more unified and integrated operating model. A significant milestone in this expansion will be the successful onboarding of over 1,000 colleagues later this month, marking substantial growth and progress for the GCC.

Building a Future-Ready Innovation Hub

The GCC is designed to be a scaled, future-ready innovation and operations hub, aiming to enhance client experiences, empower employees, and deliver a more digitally enabled and relationship-driven banking experience. Infosys will support Truist in building and scaling a self-sustaining center of excellence, integrating Al, technology, data, and operations into a cohesive framework. This strategic alignment is expected to reduce third-party dependency, manage global delivery complexities, and cultivate deep technology talent for the future.

Truist’s Strategic Investment in India

India plays a crucial role in Truist’s evolving operating model. The country already hosts a strong base of Truist contract professionals contributing to engineering, data, and operations. Infosys’s involvement in scaling the GCC will facilitate seamless cross-geography collaboration and faster delivery in an increasingly digital and Al-driven industry landscape.

Leadership Perspectives

Steve Hagerman, Chief Information Officer at Truist, emphasized the GCC as a strategic investment in Truist’s future, stating, “As we accelerate our transformation into a more agile, Al-enabled enterprise, we are intentionally building global capabilities that allow us to move faster, innovate at scale, and better serve our clients. This center will play a critical role in helping Truist build and scale strategic capabilities through a more integrated operating model improving client experience and empowering teammates.”

Dennis Gada, EVP and Global Head of Banking and Financial Services at Infosys, added, “We are proud to deepen our long-standing relationship with Truist as they evolve their presence in India into a strategic engine for Al-led transformation and reimagination. Financial institutions today must move decisively from modernizing legacy infrastructure to deploying Al at scale across every function. By leveraging Infosys Topaz, our proven Build, Operate and Transfer enablement model and deep financial services expertise, we are committed to helping Truist build a resilient, scalable digital core and unlock Al value at scale – with trust and governance-built in.”
