Profile and Experience
Shri Bhavendra Kumar commenced his journey with Canara Bank as a Probationary Officer on March 10, 1997. He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree and is a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB). His career with the bank has spanned various capacities across multiple states, including significant contributions in the Shanghai Branch. Before his current role, he headed the Gold Loan Wing at the Bengaluru Head Office and led the Delhi Circle Office, managing business exceeding ₹2.5 lakh crore. He was promoted to Chief General Manager in 2021 and subsequently elevated to the position of Executive Director on October 9, 2023.
