Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals Limited (GSFC) has officially entered the crop protection market by launching seven new, powerful products under the brand name “SARDAR”. This strategic move aims to provide farmers with a comprehensive suite of agricultural solutions, extending beyond the company’s traditional fertilizer offerings. The launch signifies GSFC’s commitment to supporting agricultural productivity and farmer prosperity.

New Product Range for Crop Protection

The newly introduced ‘SARDAR’ range includes seven potent solutions designed to safeguard crops from various threats. Among these are the following products:

  • SARDAR SAATHI (Pendimethalin 30% EC) – An herbicide.
  • SARDAR RAFTAR (Chlorantraniliprole 18% SC) – An insecticide.
  • SARDAR TUFAN (Fipronil 5% SC) – An insecticide.
  • SARDAR MANZAR (Emamectin Benzoate 5% SG) – An insecticide.
  • SARDAR AADHAR (Acephate 75% SP) – An insecticide.
  • SARDAR BHU-GOD (Imidacloprid 17.8% SL) – An insecticide.
  • SARDAR SENAPATI (Thiamethoxam 75% WG) – An insecticide.

These products will be made available to farmers through GSFC’s existing distribution network, including its Kisan Suvidha Kendras (KSK). This expansion into crop protection is an important step in GSFC’s strategy to offer integrated agri-solutions.

The launch event took place in Gandhinagar on September 23, 2026, and was attended by dignitaries including the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Gujarat, Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel, and the Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister, Shri Harshbhai Sanghvi. This initiative underscores GSFC’s dedication to evolving with the changing needs of the agricultural sector, aiming to enhance crop productivity and farmer income.
