IRB Infrastructure IRB InvIT Fund Raises ₹3,248.43 Crore via Institutional Placement

IRB Infrastructure Developers Ltd. announced that its sponsored Public InvIT, IRB InvIT Fund, successfully completed a fund-raise of ₹3,248.43 Crore through Institutional Placement of Units. This marks the first fund-raise activity since the InvIT’s listing in 2017, and saw strong responses from marquee global and domestic investors. The raised capital will be used to acquire highway assets and unlock new growth opportunities.

Successful Fund-Raise Completion

IRB Infrastructure Developers Ltd has announced the successful completion of a fund-raising initiative by its sponsored Public InvIT, named IRB InvIT Fund. The fund-raise, executed through Institutional Placement of Units, reached a total of ₹3,248.43 Crore. This marks a significant milestone as the first fund-raise activity since the listing of IRB InvIT Fund in 2017.

Investor Response

The fund-raise witnessed a strong response from both global and domestic investors, signaling confidence in the Indian infrastructure growth story and the InvIT platform. According to Mr. Virendra D. Mhaiskar, Chairman & Managing Director of the Company, this response is a testament to the trust and credibility that the IRB Group has built over the years.

Use of Proceeds and Future Plans

The funds raised are earmarked for several strategic initiatives. A significant portion will partly fund the acquisition of three BOT highway assets: Hapur-Moradabad, Kaithal-Rajasthan Border, and Kishangarh-Gulabpura, sourced from the IRB Infrastructure Trust. Furthermore, the Private InvIT is expected to receive approximately ₹4,905Crs as equity consideration upon completion of the transaction. The new capital will enable the Private InvIT to pursue new highway projects worth over ₹15,000 Crores, strengthening the Group’s development pipeline.

IRB InvIT Fund Details

As of October 15, 2025, the committee approved the issue and allotment of 54,14,05,000 Units to eligible institutional investors at an Issue Price of ₹60 per Unit. The total amount for which securities issued is ₹32,484.30 million. Post allotment, the unitholding capital of the Trust comprises 112,19,05,000 Units. Key allottees holding more than 5% of the units include Anahera Investment PTE. LTD. (18.57%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Limited (7.06%), and CIM Investment Fund ICAV (5.54%).
