Jindal Stainless, India’s leading stainless steel manufacturer, announced on September 18, 2026, that it has received recognition as an Awarding Body from the National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET). This significant development, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), aims to strengthen the company’s role in developing industry-led qualifications and building a skilled talent pipeline for the stainless steel ecosystem.

As an approved Awarding Body, Jindal Stainless will now be empowered to develop and offer qualifications and certification programs that are recognized by the Government and aligned with the evolving skill requirements of the stainless steel industry. This initiative is expected to provide a more structured approach to skill development within the sector.
First Qualification Approved
The company has already achieved a milestone by getting its first qualification approved by NCVET. Titled “Stainless Steel Decorative Pipe & Tube Manufacturing Operator,” this qualification is set at NSQF Level 4 and is designed for trainees undertaking relevant courses. This move underscores Jindal Stainless’ commitment to enhancing vocational education and training within its domain.
