Puravankara: Secures ₹2,600 Crore Redevelopment Project in Mumbai

Puravankara Limited has announced the acquisition of redevelopment rights for three residential societies in Goregaon West, Mumbai. The project, spread over 4.68 acres, has a developable potential of 1.05 million sq. ft. and an estimated Gross Development Value (GDV) of ₹2,600 crore. This marks Puravankara’s eighth redevelopment project in Mumbai, reinforcing its strategic focus on this growth segment.

Puravankara Limited, a prominent Indian real estate developer, has announced the successful acquisition of redevelopment rights for three residential societies situated in the Bangur Nagar area of Goregaon West, Mumbai. This significant development is expected to bolster the company’s presence in one of India’s prime real estate markets.

Project Scale and Financial Impact

The project encompasses a total land area of approximately 4.68 acres and offers a substantial developable potential of around 1.05 million square feet. The estimated Gross Development Value (GDV) for this venture is pegged at an impressive ₹2,600 crore. This acquisition represents Puravankara’s eighth redevelopment project in the bustling city of Mumbai, underscoring the company’s commitment to expanding its footprint in this key segment.

Strategic Importance and Growth Outlook

Ashish Puravankara, Managing Director of Puravankara Limited, highlighted the strategic importance of redevelopment projects, stating, “Redevelopment is an important pillar of our Mumbai growth strategy and allows us to participate in some of the city’s most established and sought-after neighbourhoods.” He further added that this project reflects the momentum built in Mumbai and the confidence homebuyers place in the brand. The company sees a significant opportunity to build a scaled and sustainable redevelopment platform, backed by disciplined capital allocation and strong execution.

The Goregaon West location is described as a well-established residential market with excellent connectivity. Rajat Rastogi, CEO-West & Commercial Assets, Puravankara Limited, noted that the company’s redevelopment portfolio in Mumbai alone represents a potential GDV of approximately ₹17,500 crore, with recent expansions including locations like Breach Candy, Pali Hill, and Malabar Hill.
