Diamond Power Infrastructure: Secures ₹263 Crore Order for Maharashtra Power Project

Diamond Power Infrastructure Limited (DICABS) has announced securing a substantial purchase order valued at approximately ₹263.25 crore (inclusive of GST). The order is for the supply of power cables and conductors for an urban power infrastructure project in Maharashtra, awarded by a domestic EPC contractor. This win underscores DICABS’ capability in medium and low-voltage power distribution solutions.

Major Order Boosts DICABS’ Order Book

Diamond Power Infrastructure Limited (DICABS) has received a significant purchase order worth approximately ₹263.25 crore, inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST). The order, dated 16 September 2026, was placed by a domestic EPC contractor for the supply of power cables and conductors. These components are destined for an urban power infrastructure project in the Bhandup region of Maharashtra, aimed at enhancing the network of the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL).

Project Details and Scope

The scope of the contract encompasses the supply of Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) XLPE underground power cables, overhead conductors, and control cables, all manufactured to MSEDCL’s specific technical specifications. This order highlights DICABS’ role in critical infrastructure development, particularly in urban areas where underground cabling offers enhanced reliability and resilience. The manufacturing of these components will take place at the company’s integrated facility in Vadodara, Gujarat.

Market Position and Guarantee

This new contract reinforces DICABS’ standing as a preferred supplier to state distribution utilities. The company offers a comprehensive guarantee of 66 months from the date of supply or 60 months from commissioning, whichever period concludes earlier. The pricing structure for this order will be variable, linked to prevailing aluminium and copper prices, as well as currency fluctuations, a practice that helps protect the company’s margins against raw material volatility.

Company Outlook

The management of Diamond Power Infrastructure expressed optimism, stating that the order is a strong endorsement of DICABS’ capabilities across medium-voltage cables, low-voltage cables, and conductors. They noted the growing importance of urban underground cabling as a segment and expressed confidence in their ability to execute large, multi-product utility orders efficiently, leveraging their backward-integrated facilities and expanding MV capacity.
