Hexaware Technologies Collaborates on Project NANDA Fellowship to Build the Future of AI Agents

September 15, 2026 – Hexaware Technologies, a global IT solutions and services provider, today announced its collaboration with Project NANDA Fellowship. This three-month, fully remote program is designed to give developers direct, hands-on experience in building open-source infrastructure for the emerging Internet of AI Agents. The fellowship is hosted by FAN, the umbrella program behind Project NANDA, and supported by Hexaware as part of its commitment to the open agentic web ecosystem.

Focus on AI Agent Coordination

The program addresses a critical challenge in the coming decade: how autonomous AI agents can discover, verify, and coordinate at scale within agentic AI workflows. Fellows will contribute directly to Project NANDA, an initiative originating from the MIT Media Lab. Project NANDA aims to build foundational infrastructure, standards, and reference implementations for an open, decentralized Internet of AI Agents. The work undertaken will feed into Project NANDA’s open-source community, enhancing components such as agent discovery, verifiable identity, and secure coordination.

Inaugural Cohort and Benefits

The inaugural cohort comprises over 10 Fellows, a mix of Hexaware engineers and external developers selected globally. Participants will receive a competitive stipend, direct mentorship, and the opportunity to contribute code to live, open-source agentic infrastructure. The program’s small cohort size is intended to foster close mentorship and meaningful contributions for each Fellow.

Strategic Alignment for Hexaware

For Hexaware, this association serves a dual purpose: training the next generation of AI infrastructure engineers and contributing to the open agentic web and the broader open-source community. The initiative aligns with Hexaware’s existing investments in agentic AI, including its AI delivery layer, Zerovity™. It also deepens the company’s engagement with research and developer communities shaping the future of AI agents.

Applications Now Open

Applications for the Project NANDA Fellowship are currently open to developers worldwide. Interested candidates can apply via the provided link. The priority review deadline is September 19, 2026, with applications submitted by this date receiving priority consideration. For more information on applying, visit: https://lnkd.in/dZPPCQtY.
