New Corn Wet Milling Facility Planned
Gujarat Ambuja Exports Limited is set to significantly expand its corn wet milling operations with the proposed establishment of a new 850 TPD Greenfield Corn Wet Milling Plant. This state-of-the-art facility will be located adjacent to the company’s existing 750 TPD plant in Hubli, Karnataka. The investment required for this expansion is estimated at ₹333.00 Crores, with funding to be sourced through internal accruals.
Enhanced Production Capacities
Upon completion, the new plant will have the capacity to manufacture 400 TPD of Corn Starch, 150 TPD of Sweeteners, and 300 TPD of Feed Ingredients. This expansion will boost the total manufacturing capacity at the Hubli unit to 1600 TPD, comprising 700 TPD of Corn Starch, 400 TPD of Sweeteners and Derivatives, and 500 TPD of Feed Ingredients. The company also aims to increase its overall Corn Wet Milling Capacity to 9000 TPD by 2030.
Strategic Rationale and Timeline
The proposed expansion is driven by the objective of enhancing the company’s integrated manufacturing capabilities, broadening its product portfolio, and further strengthening its national and global presence. The commissioning of the new capacity is anticipated by the fourth quarter of the Financial Year 2029.
