The notice was originally received from the Kenyan Ministry of Mining, Blue Economy and Maritime Affairs on July 28, 2026.
Formation of Technical Committee
To facilitate a comprehensive and timely resolution of the issues raised by the Ministry, it has been agreed to establish a high-level technical committee. This committee will be jointly led by the Principal Secretary for Mining on behalf of the Ministry and the Chief Executive Officer of TCML. The engagement took place on September 8, 2026, and was described as a fruitful discussion regarding the matters presented by the Ministry.
Committee’s Mandate and Objectives
The committee’s primary role will be to undertake a detailed technical review of all pertinent matters and to submit a report to the office of the Cabinet Secretary.
