Promoter Group Acquires Stake in Jindal Stainless

JSL Overseas Holding Limited has disclosed its acquisition of a substantial number of equity shares in Jindal Stainless Limited. This transaction, executed via open market purchases on September 3, 2026 (409,048 shares) and September 4, 2026 (232,769 shares), totals 6,41,817 shares.

Impact on Shareholding and Voting Rights

Prior to this acquisition, JSL Overseas Holding held 14,11,81,572 shares, accounting for 17.12% of the total equity share capital and voting rights. Following the purchase, the total holding has increased to 14,18,23,389 shares, representing 17.20% of the total equity share capital and voting rights. The acquisition of these shares has increased the promoter group’s voting rights by 0.08%.

Transaction Details

The mode of acquisition was through market purchases. The total equity share capital of Jindal Stainless Limited before and after this acquisition remains at Rs. 164,88,39,176, divided into 82,44,19,588 equity shares of Rs. 2/- each.

Persons Acting in Concert

The disclosure also lists numerous individuals and entities identified as Persons Acting in Concert (PAC) with JSL Overseas Holding Limited, all belonging to the Promoter Group. These include various members of the Jindal family and associated entities, such as Abhyuday Jindal, Deepika Jindal, Vrindaavan Services Private Limited, and Jindal Strips Limited, among many others.
