Greaves Electric Mobility Limited (GEML), a subsidiary of Greaves Cotton Limited, has launched the ‘Ampere Magnus GMax’ on a ~4,000 km endurance ride across India. This 15-day journey from Arunachal Pradesh to Gujarat aims to test the scooter’s durability, reliability, and performance across diverse terrains and weather conditions. The initiative highlights GEML’s ‘Built for Bharat’ philosophy and its focus on advanced features like a Next Gen LFP battery offering 2,00,000 km life.
Ampere Magnus GMax Embarks on Ultimate Endurance Ride
Greaves Electric Mobility Limited (GEML), the electric mobility arm of Greaves Cotton Limited, has flagged off its ‘Ultimate Endurance Ride’ featuring the Ampere Magnus GMax scooter. The extensive 15-day journey will cover approximately 4,000 km, traversing from India’s easternmost point in Dong, Arunachal Pradesh, to its westernmost point in Guhar Moti, Gujarat. This initiative is designed to rigorously test the capabilities of the Ampere Magnus GMax across varied geographical and climatic conditions.
Testing Durability and Technology
The expedition is scheduled to pass through 8 states, encompassing high-altitude mountain roads, highways, urban stretches, and challenging terrains. Over the course of the ride, the Ampere Magnus GMax will experience temperature fluctuations ranging from 15°C to over 35°C and significant changes in altitude. The ride aims to showcase the scooter’s resilience, particularly highlighting its Next Gen LFP battery, which boasts a battery life of up to 2,00,000 km, its dual-frame chassis, and NxG.io smart technology.
‘Built for Bharat’ Philosophy in Action
Mr. Vikas Singh, Managing Director of Greaves Electric Mobility Limited, stated that the ride embodies the company’s ‘Built for Bharat’ philosophy, emphasizing the need for products to withstand India’s diverse riding conditions. “This journey is about demonstrating that when technology, reliability and performance are built around Bharat, electric mobility can become a truly smart ride for India,” he added. The expedition will also make strategic stops in Patna, Varanasi, and Jaipur for dealer engagement and stakeholder interactions.
