JSW Dulux Limited has announced that it has received a Show Cause Notice (SCN) from the Karnataka GST Department concerning a proposed disallowance of Input Tax Credit (ITC). The notice, issued under Section 73 of the CGST Act/Rules, 2017, covers the financial period from April 2022 to March 2023.

Financial Implications of the Demand

The SCN proposes a total demand of ₹48,58,65,992. This aggregate amount is broken down as follows: ₹27,11,47,157 as tax, ₹18,76,04,118 as interest, and ₹2,71,14,717 as penalty. The company has been notified of this demand on September 7, 2026.
