Maruti Suzuki India Limited has officially introduced the Stunning New Baleno, a revamped premium hatchback designed to appeal to sophisticated and elegant young urban achievers. Launched on September 5, 2026, the vehicle embodies the ‘Dare to go Glam’ philosophy, offering a premium and progressive design language.
Key Features and Technology
The new Baleno boasts a distinctive identity with an all-new NEXWave grille. A significant highlight is the introduction of segment-first Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), featuring eight advanced safety and assistance functions. The vehicle also includes ventilated front seats with plush leatherette upholstery for enhanced comfort. For an immersive audio experience, it is equipped with a Premium Sound System by Clarion.
Performance and Powertrain
Powering the Stunning New Baleno is the Advanced Z12E powertrain. This engine offers a maximum power output of 61 kW @ 5700 rpm and 112.4 Nm of peak torque @ 4500 rpm. It comes with Idle Start-Stop technology and Dual VVT. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual (MT) and an Auto Gear Shift (AGS) automatic transmission. The Baleno achieves a fuel efficiency of 23.80 km/l for the MT model and 24.77 km/l for the AGS model.
Safety and Infotainment
