Karur Vysya Bank: Grants 60,140 Stock Options to MD & CEO and Executive Director

Karur Vysya Bank (KVB) has announced the grant of 60,140 stock options to its Managing Director & CEO, Shri B Ramesh Babu, and Executive Director, Shri B Sankar. These options, part of the KVB ESOS 2018 Scheme, are granted at a price of ₹346.60 per option, reflecting the closing price on September 2, 2026. This move is a non-cash component of their variable pay for FY 2025-26, aligning their interests with shareholder value. The vesting schedule spans three years from the grant date.

KVB Grants ESOPs to Key Management

Karur Vysya Bank (KVB) has officially informed exchanges about the grant of stock options to its senior management as part of its Employees Stock Option Scheme (ESOS) 2018. The announcement, made following a meeting of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee on September 3, 2026, details the allocation of options to two key executives. This initiative is designed to incentivize and retain top talent within the organization by linking their remuneration to the bank’s performance.

Option Details and Vesting Schedule

A total of 60,140 stock options have been granted. Specifically, Shri B Ramesh Babu, the Managing Director & CEO, received 46,018 options, while Shri B Sankar, the Executive Director, was granted 14,122 options. The exercise price for these options is set at ₹346.60 per option, which corresponds to the closing price of the bank’s shares on the NSE on September 2, 2026. These options represent a non-cash component of the variable pay for the Financial Year 2025-26, as approved within the bank’s compensation structure.

The granted options are subject to a structured vesting plan over three years:

  • 33.33% of the options will vest one year from the date of the grant.
  • Another 33.33% will vest two years from the grant date.
  • The remaining 33.34% will vest three years from the grant date.

Each vested option entitles the holder to one equity share of the bank. This grant is made in compliance with the SEBI (Share Based Employee Benefits and Sweat Equity) Regulations, 2021.
