Diamond Power Infrastructure: Secures ₹76 Crore EHV Cable Order

Diamond Power Infrastructure Limited (DICABS) has announced the receipt of a Letter of Acceptance for the supply of 66 kV Extra High Voltage (EHV) underground power cables. The order, valued at approximately ₹76.06 crore including GST, comes from a domestic EPC contractor for a transmission project in Gujarat. This award underscores the company’s capability in the high-value EHV segment.

Significant Order Secured for EHV Power Cables

Diamond Power Infrastructure Limited (DICABS) has been awarded a substantial contract for the supply of 66 kV Extra High Voltage (EHV) underground power cables. The company received a Letter of Acceptance for this order, which is valued at approximately ₹64.46 crore excluding GST, with the total value including GST being ₹76.06 crore. This significant order reinforces DICABS’s standing in the high-value EHV segment of the power cable market.

Project Details and Scope

The contract, awarded by a domestic EPC contractor executing a 66 kV transmission project in Gujarat, covers the supply of 2,92,985 metres (approximately 293 kilometres) of 38/66 kV (E), 1 core, 630 sq. mm. aluminium conductor, XLPE insulated, copper wire screened, aluminium corrugated sheathed, HDPE outer sheathed underground power cables. The supply will be on a FOR site basis. Deliveries are scheduled to commence upon manufacturing clearance, with an approximate rate of 50 km per month, with potential to advance this schedule based on project needs.

Strategic Importance of the Award

This award is seen as a further endorsement of Diamond Power Infrastructure’s manufacturing capabilities for Extra High Voltage cables, which are among the most technically demanding products in the sector. The company highlighted that this segment offers high realisations and margins. The growing demand for EHV underground cabling, driven by India’s transmission build-out and the integration of renewable energy sources, positions DICABS favourably.
