RBL Bank: Mobilizes $3.4 Billion in FCNR Deposits

RBL Bank has successfully mobilized approximately USD 3.40 billion (approximately ₹324.72 billion) in FCNR (B) deposits, a facility extended by the Reserve Bank of India until August 31, 2026. Loans provided by the bank’s international unit against these deposits amount to roughly USD 1.08 billion (approximately ₹103.09 billion). The mobilization was bolstered by support from its promoter, Emirates NBD, and its affiliates.

RBL Bank Announces FCNR (B) Deposit Mobilization

RBL Bank Limited has announced a significant mobilization of deposits through its FCNR (B) facility, supported by the Reserve Bank of India’s swap facility. As of August 31, 2026, the bank has mobilized approximately USD 3.40 billion, which converts to roughly ₹324.72 billion in Indian Rupees.

Loan Portfolio and Promoter Support

The international banking unit of RBL Bank has provided loans amounting to approximately USD 1.08 billion (around ₹103.09 billion) against these deposits. This deposit mobilization effort received substantial support from the bank’s promoter, Emirates NBD, and its associated subsidiaries and affiliates, leveraging the strong financial corridor between the UAE and India.
