The company also introduced the Eeco Star Edition, featuring 18 exclusive accessories. The Eeco continues to show strong sales momentum, with the latest 5 lakh units sold in just three-and-a-half years, marking its fastest sales growth.
Maruti Suzuki Eeco Achieves 15 Lakh Sales Milestone
Maruti Suzuki India Limited announced today that its popular Eeco model has surpassed 15 lakh cumulative sales in India. The company highlighted the Eeco’s consistent growth, noting that the latest 5 lakh sales were achieved in just three-and-a-half years, making it the fastest sales milestone for the model. This achievement underscores the Eeco’s strong performance in the Indian market and its role as a trusted mobility partner.
New Eeco Star Edition Launched
To commemorate the 15 lakh sales milestone, Maruti Suzuki has launched the Eeco Star Edition. This special edition comes equipped with 18 exclusive exterior and interior accessories designed to enhance its aesthetics and in-cabin experience. The company aims to further strengthen the model’s appeal with these thoughtful enhancements.
Eeco’s Versatility and Growth
The Eeco, launched in January 2010, has evolved to meet changing customer needs. It now offers a versatile portfolio of 13 variants, including 5- and 6-seater passenger models, along with Tour V, Ambulance, and Cargo versions. The vehicle is powered by a 1.2L Advanced K-Series Dual Jet, Dual VVT engine, offering fuel efficiency of 19.71 km/l in petrol and 26.78 km/kg in S-CNG. The growing preference for S-CNG is evident, with its sales share rising from 12% in FY 2019-20 to 48% in FY 2025-26.
Safety and comfort features are also integral, with the 2026 Eeco equipped with 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP®), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with EBD, and other advanced safety systems. Practical comfort features include a digital instrument cluster and air conditioning.
Customer Connect and Market Reach
Mr. Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing & Sales, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, stated, “The 15 lakh sales milestone is a celebration of the progress of our customers and the enduring trust they have placed in Eeco.” He further noted that 65% of Eeco sales came from rural markets in FY 2025-26, and 55% of customers are first-time buyers, with over 51% being business owners. This highlights the Eeco’s significant role in enabling livelihoods and aspirations across India.
