GHCL: Commences Production of Vacuum Salt with 1.7 Lakh MT Capacity

GHCL Limited has announced the commencement of commercial production for its new product, Vacuum Salt, with an annual capacity of 1.7 Lakh MT. The production is integrated within its existing Soda Ash plant at Sutrapada, Gujarat. This expansion aims to harness surplus energy and cater to both domestic and international markets. The launch marks a strategic diversification for GHCL in its chemical portfolio.

GHCL Launches Vacuum Salt Production

GHCL Limited has officially commenced commercial production for a new product line, Vacuum Salt. The company has established an annual production capacity of 1.7 Lakh Metric Tonnes (MT) for this product. This strategic expansion is integrated into GHCL’s existing Soda Ash plant facilities located at Sutrapada, in the Gir Somanath district of Gujarat.

New Product Details and Market Reach

The newly launched Vacuum Salt is categorized as Food Grade and is chemically identified as Sodium Chloride (NaCl). The company stated that this initiative will be beneficial for harnessing surplus energy at the plant site. GHCL plans to cater to a Domestic and International Market with this new offering, signaling an expansion of its product portfolio and market reach. The commencement date for this new production line was August 31, 2026.
