Karur Vysya Bank Expands Network Significantly

Karur Vysya Bank (KVB), a prominent private sector bank, has announced the inauguration of 16 new branches on August 31, 2026. This strategic expansion aims to deepen its footprint across key markets including Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, and the Delhi NCR. With this move, the bank’s total branch network now stands at 919 branches nationwide.

Distribution of New Branches

The newly opened branches are distributed across several states to bolster KVB’s presence. Specifically, six branches are in Tamil Nadu, five in Andhra Pradesh, and three in Telangana. Additionally, one branch each has been established in Karnataka and the Delhi NCR. This multi-state expansion highlights KVB’s commitment to broad market penetration.

Strategic Growth and Customer Focus

The inauguration marks a significant milestone in KVB’s expansion journey, with branches opened simultaneously across multiple markets. Shri Ramesh Babu, Managing Director & CEO of Karur Vysya Bank, led the initiative, inaugurating the Gachibowli branch in Hyderabad and virtually opening the remaining branches. This expansion is a core part of KVB’s strategy to increase its presence in metropolitan, urban, semi-urban, and rural markets. The new branches will serve a diverse customer base, including retail customers, MSMEs, and agricultural businesses, complementing the bank’s growing digital banking network.

Shri Ramesh Babu stated, “We continue to expand our branch network in markets where we see good business potential and an opportunity to deepen our relationship with customers. While digital banking has made everyday transactions much easier, branches continue to play an important role, particularly for our MSME, retail and agricultural customers. The new branches will help us get closer to customers and offer them the convenience of both personalised service and digital banking.”

Financial Highlights

The expansion comes as KVB reports continued business growth. As of June 30, 2026, the bank’s total business reached ₹2,27,267 crore, comprising deposits of ₹1,22,587 crore and advances of ₹1,04,680 crore. KVB also reported its highest-ever quarterly net profit of ₹756 crore in Q1FY27.
