Ather Energy Introduces ‘Konarc’ Electric Scooter
Ather Energy, a leading Indian electric two-wheeler manufacturer, has officially launched its new electric scooter, the Konarc, at its fourth edition of Ather Community Day 2026 in Bengaluru. This launch is positioned as a significant step towards making electric vehicles more accessible and mainstream in India. The Konarc is built on Ather’s new EL platform, aiming to enhance ride comfort, range, durability, and ease of ownership.
Key Features and Variants
The Konarc will be available in six variants across the S and Z product lines. The S line offers IDC range options of 100 km, 125 km, 161 km, and 200 km, while the Z line provides variants with 125 km and 161 km ranges. Color options include Quartz White, Lumen Copper, Celestial Gold, and Majestic Grey, with Steel Blue and Claret Red exclusive to the higher-end Z variants. Key new features include Ather’s Advanced Electronic Braking System (AeBS™), MagicKey, AutoPop™, and AirWalk™.
Ownership Proposition and Warranty
Ather is emphasizing a simpler ownership experience for the Konarc. Service intervals have been extended to 10,000 km (approximately once a year), with fewer service checkpoints. A significant highlight is the new 10-year/100,000 km warranty on the fifth-generation Bedrock™ battery pack, which guarantees a minimum 70% state of health at the end of the coverage period. The scooter also features a sequential gear-drive transmission for smoother power delivery.
Pricing and Availability
The Ather Konarc is priced starting from ₹99,999 for the Konarc S 100 km variant (effective ex-showroom Bengaluru). Other variants include the Konarc S 125 km at ₹1,21,999 and the Konarc S 161 km at ₹1,44,999. Bookings and initial deliveries for the Konarc S 125 km and Konarc S 161 km variants are set to begin in mid-September in a phased manner, starting with select variants and states.
