Communication on Final Dividend TDS

Honasa Consumer Limited has issued a detailed communication to its shareholders regarding the process and necessary documentation for claiming a nil or lower rate of Tax Deduction at Source (TDS) on the final dividend proposed for the financial year 2025-26. This communication was sent out on August 26, 2026.

Dividend and AGM Details

The proposed final dividend, recommended by the Board of Directors, is subject to the approval of the members at the ensuing 10th Annual General Meeting (AGM), scheduled to be held on September 28, 2026. The company has stipulated that the last date for the submission of requisite documents to facilitate the TDS process is September 10, 2026.

TDS on Dividend Explained

As per the Income-tax Act, dividend declared and paid by the company is taxable for the Tax Year 2026-27 (FY 2026-27). Honasa Consumer is therefore required to deduct TDS at prescribed rates. The applicable TDS rate will depend on the member’s residential status, valid tax registration (PAN), and the documents submitted. Members are advised to refer to a detailed note on the company’s website for applicable tax rates and documentation requirements to avail nil or lower deduction.

Submission of Tax Documents and Record Updates

Shareholders are requested to ensure their tax residential status, PAN, bank account details, email address, and mobile numbers are updated with their respective depositories through their Depository Participants (DPs). Dividend payments will be processed solely through electronic mode, with dividend warrants or cheques having been discontinued from November 18, 2025. Members should update their bank account details with their DPs for timely credit of the dividend. Timely submission of the required documents is crucial for accurate TDS deduction.

Available Forms and Declarations

Various forms and declarations relevant to tax deductions, such as Form No. 121, Self Declaration SD1 (Resident Shareholders), SD2 (Non-Resident Shareholders), and others for specific fund categories, are available for download. The editable versions of these documents can be accessed via a link provided on the company’s website.
