Westlife Foodworld Reports Strong Q1 FY27 Performance

Westlife Foodworld Limited has announced encouraging results for the first quarter of its financial year 2027 (Q1 FY27), marking a period of significant growth and momentum. The company’s Chairman highlighted that revenue for the quarter reached ₹736 crore, representing a substantial 12% increase compared to the same period last year. This growth signifies the successful translation of strategic investments and choices made over the past few years.

Key Growth Drivers Identified

Further bolstering the positive performance, Westlife Foodworld reported that same-store sales grew by 4.3%, which the Chairman described as the company’s strongest momentum in recent times. This impressive figure was notably led by double-digit growth in guest counts. The company attributes its performance to a continued focus on its core fundamentals: great food, trusted value, convenience, and a consistently enjoyable customer experience. The ‘Everyday Value’ platform is noted as a key driver for increased footfalls and repeat visits, especially as consumers remain budget-conscious.

Regional Performance and Expansion Plans

Geographically, the western region continues to perform well, while the southern markets have shown meaningful improvement. This progress is attributed to sustained efforts in local relevance, restaurant operations, talent development, and network expansion. The company sees substantial opportunity in the South and aims to leverage improved performance in this region as a key driver for Westlife’s next phase of growth. Westlife currently operates 482 restaurants across 79 cities and plans to open over 60 new restaurants in FY27, reinforcing its commitment to its Vision 2027 ambition of operating 580 to 630 restaurants. The company was also recognized with the Global Breaking Ground Development Award from McDonald’s Corporation.

Digital Integration and Future Outlook

Technology plays a pivotal role in Westlife’s operations, with digital channels now contributing 74% of sales. The cumulative app downloads have surpassed 55 million, and nearly 3.7 million customers use the platform monthly, enabling greater convenience and personalization. Looking ahead, Westlife Foodworld remains optimistic about the Indian market, driven by rising aspirations, urbanization, and digital adoption. The company emphasizes a disciplined approach to growth, focusing on sound governance, prudent capital allocation, and leadership development to create sustainable, value-accretive growth for all stakeholders.
