Godrej Industries Group Unveils Major Haryana Investment Plan
Mumbai, August 24, 2026 – Godrej Industries Group announced today a significant Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Haryana. This landmark agreement outlines a future investment plan of approximately ₹20,000 crore in the state, with the potential to generate around 40,000 new jobs. The MoU highlights the Group’s growing footprint and unwavering confidence in Haryana’s long-term economic prospects.
Key Investment Pillars and Job Creation
The proposed investments aim to capitalize on Haryana’s burgeoning economic landscape and Gurugram’s emergence as a major commercial hub. The Group has already invested approximately ₹12,000 crore in Haryana to date, employing around 9,000 people across its diverse businesses.
Godrej Properties Ltd (GPL) Expansion
A substantial portion of this new investment will be driven by Godrej Properties Ltd (GPL). GPL, which has already invested approximately ₹11,000 crore in Haryana, plans to invest an additional ₹16,000 crore by FY28. With 18 existing projects across cities like Gurugram and Sonipat, GPL’s future developments are projected to create over 11,000 jobs.
Godrej Ventures and Infrastructure Focus
Further bolstering the investment, Godrej Ventures, the group’s real estate private equity arm, has committed an additional ₹3,500 crore towards developing Grade A+ office infrastructure in Gurugram. This initiative alone is expected to generate more than 30,000 direct and indirect jobs, significantly enhancing Gurugram’s commercial ecosystem and its appeal to global corporations.
Strategic Importance of Haryana
Pirojsha Godrej, Chairperson of Godrej Industries Group, emphasized Haryana’s role as a crucial growth driver. The depth of its economy, the pace of urbanisation and the emergence of Gurugram as a major commercial and employment hub create opportunities across several of our businesses. Existing Presence and Community Initiatives
The Group’s existing operations in Haryana include five branches of Godrej Capital, which has facilitated approximately ₹550 crore in bookings. Godrej Consumer Products maintains a network of 42 direct distributors and over 250 rural stockists. Beyond business investments, Godrej Industries Group actively contributes to community and infrastructure development, spending approximately ₹1 crore annually on CSR initiatives and over ₹10 crore on infrastructure-level projects in the state.
