MIDHANI: Q1 FY27 Revenue Grows 40%, Profit Up 27%

Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited (MIDHANI) reported strong performance in Q1 FY27, with turnover increasing 40.46% year-on-year to ₹239.49 crore. Profit before tax (PBT) rose 25.89% to ₹23.92 crore, while profit after tax (PAT) saw a 27.42% jump to ₹16.31 crore. The company also highlighted significant operational achievements, including S400 certification from GE and progress on advanced materials development.

MIDHANI Reports Robust Q1 FY27 Performance

Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited (MIDHANI) has announced a strong start to the fiscal year, with its first quarter of FY26-27 demonstrating significant growth in both revenue and profitability. The company achieved a turnover of ₹239.49 crore, marking a substantial 40.46% increase compared to the same quarter in the previous year. The value of production also saw an upward trend, growing by 7.9% to ₹260.36 crore.

Profitability Sees Significant Boost

The profitability metrics for the quarter were particularly encouraging. Profit Before Tax (PBT) experienced a notable rise of 25.89%, reaching ₹23.92 crore. Similarly, profit after tax (PAT) grew by 27.42%, amounting to ₹16.31 crore over the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The EBITDA for the quarter stood at ₹46.6 crore, showing a healthy growth of 12.89%.

Key Operational and Strategic Milestones

Beyond financial results, MIDHANI highlighted several key operational and strategic achievements. A significant development was receiving the S400 certification from General Electric USA on August 13, 2026, enabling the company to perform advanced testing for mechanical, chemical, and metallography of test specimens. This certification is expected to open new revenue streams.

Furthermore, MIDHANI is progressing towards obtaining NAS410 certification for its non-destructive testing personnel, a crucial step for securing the Nadcap certificate. The company is also pursuing ISO 27001 for Information Security Management and ISO 50001 for Energy Management System within the current financial year.

In terms of product development and orders, MIDHANI successfully conducted a seminar on the application of artificial intelligence in metallurgical processing industries. The company also successfully achieved isothermal forging for a nickel-based super alloy for a fighter aircraft program and received orders for four grades of super alloys and three grades of titanium alloys. Additionally, MIDHANI has rolled 7000 series aluminum alloy for a PSU, marking its first commercial order for aluminum rolling.

Order Book and Future Outlook

The company’s order book position as of July 1, 2026, stood at a robust ₹2,329 crore, providing good visibility for the coming quarters. MIDHANI is also exploring opportunities in specialized materials for defense and aerospace sectors, including bulletproof jackets, with sales expected to commence by the next quarter. The company expressed confidence in its ability to stabilize operations and grow in good numbers, aided by new certifications and increasing order execution.
