At the 95th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Federal Bank, held on August 21, 2026, shareholders approved several significant matters impacting the bank’s leadership and statutory oversight.
Leadership Reappointments
The members of the bank have re-appointed Mr. Krishnan Venkat Subramanian (DIN: 00031794) as the Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Subramanian, who was retiring by rotation, will continue in his role. Additionally, Mr. Sankarshan Basu (DIN: 06466594) has been re-appointed as an Independent Director of the Bank for a second term. This term will be for three (3) years, effective from October 01, 2026, to September 30, 2029, and he will not be liable to retire by rotation.
Auditor Appointment
The AGM also approved the appointment of M/s. Price Waterhouse LLP, Kolkata, and M/s. K. S. Aiyar & Co., Mumbai, as the Joint Statutory Auditors of the Bank. This appointment is for a period of three years, commencing from the conclusion of the 95th AGM until the conclusion of the 98th AGM. The appointment is subject to the annual approval of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
Confirmation of Director Eligibility
In line with the Stock Exchange Circular dated June 20, 2018, the bank confirmed that none of the aforesaid Directors are debarred from holding the office of director by virtue of any SEBI order or any other such authority.
