The company secured new orders worth US$339 million, driven by expansion with hyperscalers and its Brazilian acquisition, 2S. Black Box Limited has achieved its highest-ever quarterly revenue in the first quarter of FY27, marking a strong start to the fiscal year. This financial milestone was underscored by a robust order backlog that has reached a record high of approximately US$950 million, representing an impressive 83% year-on-year increase. The company secured new orders totaling US$339 million during the quarter, reflecting continued demand for its digital infrastructure solutions.

Key Growth Drivers and Strategic Wins

The company highlighted significant operational progress, including securing a new global hyperscaler in the United States with a US$131 million order, demonstrating its capability in executing large-scale AI infrastructure projects. The recently acquired Brazilian entity, 2S, also contributed to the revenue growth. Black Box emphasizes its unique position as an India-origin digital infrastructure solutions company executing gigawatt-scale data center programs.

Industry Landscape and Future Outlook

Management pointed to a substantial digital infrastructure investment cycle driven by AI, cloud computing, and cybersecurity. Industry estimates suggest global enterprise technology spending will exceed US$6.4 trillion. Black Box is strategically positioned to capitalize on this trend, with its addressable market spanning data centers, enterprise networking, cybersecurity, and managed services, particularly in the United States.

Financial Highlights and Guidance

For Q1 FY27, Black Box reported revenue of INR1,719 crores, a 24% year-on-year growth. EBITDA rose to INR160 crores (up 38%), and profit after tax increased to INR56 crores (up 18%). The company reiterated its FY27 guidance, projecting an order backlog between US$1.3 billion and US$1.4 billion, revenue between INR7,800 crores and INR8,000 crores, and EBITDA between INR725 crores and INR750 crores.
