Axel Polymers: Reports Net Loss of ₹112.63 Lakhs for FY 2025-26

Axel Polymers Limited has reported a net loss of ₹112.63 Lakhs for the financial year ended March 31, 2026. This is a significant shift from the previous year’s net profit of ₹17.35 Lakhs. The company’s performance was impacted by lower revenues, subdued demand, competitive pricing pressures, and fluctuations in raw material costs. Despite these challenges, management is focusing on operational efficiencies and cost optimization initiatives.

Financial Performance Decline

Axel Polymers Limited announced its financial results for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2026, revealing a net loss of ₹112.63 Lakhs. This contrasts sharply with the net profit of ₹17.35 Lakhs recorded in the previous financial year (FY 2024-25). The company’s total income also saw a substantial decrease, dropping to ₹4,451.26 Lakhs from ₹7,822.42 Lakhs in the prior year.

Key Factors Impacting Results

The decline in financial performance has been primarily attributed to several market factors. These include lower operating revenues, subdued demand observed in certain customer segments, increased competitive pricing pressures, and significant fluctuations in raw material costs. In response, the management has continued its focus on improving operational efficiencies, optimizing manufacturing costs, strengthening procurement strategies, and maintaining financial discipline. The company remains committed to enhancing profitability through product diversification, improved capacity utilization, customer acquisition, and cost optimization initiatives.

Material Uncertainty

The company’s financial statements also highlight a material uncertainty related to a going concern. This is due to a Show Cause Notice received from the Commissioner, CGST, Central Vadodara, pertaining to the financial years 2021-22 to 2024-25. The notice alleges wrongful availment of Input Tax Credit (ITC) amounting to ₹31.57 Crore, along with applicable interest and penalties. While the company has obtained legal advice and believes it has a strong case, the matter is disclosed as a contingent liability. Investigations by SEBI and the Income Tax Department are also ongoing, with contingent liabilities currently unquantifiable.
