Shakti Pumps (India) Limited has announced a significant investment of ₹5,00,00,000 (₹5 Crore) into its wholly-owned subsidiary, Shakti EV Mobility Private Limited. This investment was made through the subscription of 50,00,000 Equity Shares, each with a face value of ₹10. The total consolidated investment in the subsidiary has now reached ₹75,00,00,000 (₹75 Crore).

Expansion of EV Business

The primary objective behind this investment is to initiate and expand the business activities of Shakti EV Mobility Private Limited. The subsidiary is engaged in the manufacturing of various types of electric vehicle motors and chargers, catering to segments such as two-wheelers, three-wheelers, four-wheelers, and special-purpose electric vehicles. The company was incorporated on 16th December, 2021.

Financial Overview of Subsidiary

The disclosed financials for Shakti EV Mobility Private Limited indicate projected turnovers for upcoming fiscal years. For FY 2026, the turnover is projected at ₹2,425.41 Lakhs, followed by ₹372.73 Lakhs for FY 2025 and ₹430.09 Lakhs for FY 2024. The total asset size of the subsidiary as of 31st March, 2026, is reported as ₹12,857.28 Lakhs.

Transaction Details

The acquisition falls within the scope of a wholly-owned subsidiary and is therefore conducted on an arm’s length basis, with no related party transaction implications. The investment is made in cash, and the equity shares are issued over time as per the agreement.
