Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) has officially announced the appointment of Shri. Partha Pratim Pathak as a Non-Official Director, designated as an Independent Director, to its Board. The appointment was made by the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, via a letter dated August 17, 2026.
Appointment Details and Term
Shri. Pathak’s tenure as an Independent Director will be for a period of three (03) years from the date of his appointment. The Board of Directors, through a circular resolution, formally appointed Shri. Partha Pratim Pathak (DIN: 02692935) as an Additional Director (Independent Director) effective August 18, 2026.
Director’s Qualifications and Background
It is confirmed that Shri. Partha Pratim Pathak has no relationship with any other Directors of the Company and is not debarred from holding the office of Director by any statutory authority. Furthermore, he is not disqualified from holding the office of Director pursuant to Section 164 of the Companies Act, 2013. A brief profile of Shri.
