The acquisition involved the purchase of 1,46,400 equity shares of ₹10 each from existing shareholders for an aggregate cash consideration of approximately ₹76 crores. Following this transaction, Piramal Pharma’s shareholding in Yapan Bio has risen from 33.33% to 74.00% of its equity share capital. Consequently, Yapan Bio has transitioned from an associate company to a subsidiary of Piramal Pharma Limited.

Yapan Bio: A Strategic Asset

Yapan Bio Private Limited, incorporated on 11th October 2019, operates as a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization. It specializes in process development, characterization, and Phase I/II GMP manufacturing services for vaccines and biologics. The company reported revenues of ₹26.91 crores in FY2024, ₹54.40 crores in FY2025, and ₹26.34 crores in FY2026.
