KPI Green Energy Limited has successfully energized an additional 130 MW AC / 195 MW DC of solar capacity as part of its 370 MW AC / 677 MW DC Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Project in Bharuch, Gujarat. This brings the company’s cumulative energized capacity under this project to 269.7 MW AC / 389.7 MW DC. The project is developed under a long-term Power Purchase Agreement with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL), strengthening the company’s annuity-based revenue streams.
New Capacity Energized in Gujarat
KPI Green Energy Limited announced today the energization of further capacity within its significant 370 MW AC / 677 MW DC Wind-Solar Hybrid Power Project. The newly energized capacity includes 130 MW AC / 195 MW DC of solar power, located in Bharuch, Gujarat. This development marks a key milestone in the project’s ongoing development.
Increased Cumulative Capacity
With this latest addition, KPI Green Energy has now cumulatively energized 269.7 MW AC / 389.7 MW DC under the aforementioned Wind-Solar Hybrid Independent Power Producer (IPP) Project. This project is being developed by the Company as an IPP and is underpinned by a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL).
Strengthening Revenue Streams
The Company highlighted that the progressive energization of capacity under long-term PPAs is crucial for strengthening its annuity-based, recurring revenue streams. This strategic expansion of its IPP portfolio, alongside its EPC business, enhances earnings visibility and aims to create sustained long-term value for its stakeholders.
