UltraTech Cement: FY26 Profit After Tax Surges 36% to ₹8,188 Crore

UltraTech Cement has reported a landmark financial performance for FY26, with Profit After Tax (PAT) growing by 36% to ₹8,188 crore. Consolidated net revenue rose 17% to ₹88,512 crore, while EBITDA increased by 32%. The company also announced a special dividend of ₹240 per equity share, reflecting its robust financial health and commitment to shareholder value. The company achieved a significant milestone by surpassing 200 MTPA capacity in India.

UltraTech Cement Reports Record FY26 Financials

UltraTech Cement Limited has unveiled a strong set of financial results for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2026 (FY26). The company posted a landmark performance, with its consolidated net revenue rising by a significant 17% to ₹88,512 crore. Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation, and Amortisation (EBITDA) saw a substantial jump of 32% to ₹17,598 crore, marking an all-time high for the company.

Profit After Tax and Capacity Expansion

Profit After Tax (PAT) witnessed a robust growth of 36%, reaching ₹8,188 crore. This marks the first time the company’s PAT has crossed the ₹8,000 crore threshold. The company’s grey cement sales volumes in India reached 145.0 million tonnes, demonstrating resilient demand across housing, infrastructure, and commercial construction sectors.

In a significant operational achievement, UltraTech commissioned 8.7 MTPA of additional grey cement capacity in April 2026, taking its total cement capacity beyond the 200 MTPA mark in India. This positions UltraTech as the largest cement company globally by capacity and sales volumes outside of China.

Shareholder Returns and Dividend Payout

In recognition of its historic performance, the Board of Directors has recommended a Special Dividend of ₹240 per equity share of ₹10 each. This aggregates to a total payout of ₹7,072.3 crore, which is the highest dividend in the company’s history and exceeds the total dividends distributed over the previous four financial years combined.

Q1 FY27 Performance Highlights

The company has also started the new financial year on a strong note. For the first quarter of FY27 (Q1FY27), consolidated net sales rose 16% to ₹24,465 crore compared to ₹21,040 crore in the same period last year. Profit before interest, depreciation, and tax increased to ₹5,146 crore, and Profit after Tax rose 17% to ₹2,604 crore. Domestic sales volumes grew by 13.1% year-on-year to 39.2 million tonnes, with capacity utilization standing at 81% on an installed base of 200.1 MTPA in India.

Sustainability and Future Outlook

UltraTech continues to emphasize sustainability, aiming for Net Zero by 2050 and increasing its green energy capacity to 1,806 MW. The company is committed to long-term value creation, with planned investments of ₹16,000 crore to increase total cement capacity to over 240 MTPA by FY28. The company also plans to launch its Wires and Cables business by the third quarter of FY27.
