Reason for Encumbrance
The pledge was created on August 6, 2026, to serve as additional security cover. This is intended to meet any shortfall in the required security cover for the due payment and discharge of debt obligations. These obligations stem from the issuance of 16,000 senior, secured, rated, unlisted, and redeemable non-convertible debentures, aggregating to INR 160 Crores, issued by the company. The shares are pledged to Catalyst Trusteeship Limited, acting as the Debenture Trustee, for the benefit of Aditya Birla Capital Limited, the holder of these debentures.
Shareholding Impact
Following the creation of this pledge, Anand Sureshbhai Desai’s promoter holding in Anupam Rasayan India Limited has adjusted. His total share capital remains 1,10,76,940 shares (9.73%). However, the already encumbered portion increased, and his post-event holding of encumbered shares now stands at 71,75,780 shares, representing 6.30% of the total share capital.
