Hitachi Energy India has announced a strong performance for the first quarter of FY27, marked by significant growth in revenue and profitability. The company’s revenue from operations reached INR 2,493.7 crore, representing a substantial 68.6% increase year-on-year. This impressive growth was attributed to the robust execution of its order backlog.
Profitability and Order Growth
The company’s profitability also saw remarkable improvement. Profit Before Tax (PBT) increased by 120.2% year-on-year, while operational EBITDA grew by 135.0% to INR 399.9 crore. Order intake for the quarter was also robust, amounting to INR 5,096.5 crore. Excluding a large HVDC order from the previous year, comparable order intake in Q1 FY27 saw a 26.1% year-on-year increase. Key growth drivers included the transmission projects, renewable energy integration, and the burgeoning data center segment.
Strategic Investments and Future Outlook
In line with its commitment to strengthening execution capabilities and building a resilient supply chain, Hitachi Energy India commenced construction of its 20th manufacturing facility in Karjan, Vadodara, in June 2026. This investment is set to enhance manufacturing capacity and support India’s energy transition. The company highlighted its focus on strengthening core businesses, capitalizing on emerging growth opportunities in areas like Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), renewable integration, and data centers, and continuing to invest in people, technology, and manufacturing capacity for long-term sustainable growth.
