3M India Announces Strong Q1 FY27 Financial Performance
3M India Limited disclosed its financial results for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027, ending June 30, 2026. The company achieved a notable 19.0% year-over-year increase in revenue, reaching ₹1,423 crore. This growth was broad-based across all four business segments: Safety & Industrial, Transportation & Electronics, Health Care, and Consumer.
Key Financial Highlights
The company’s Profit Before Tax (PBT) saw a substantial 26.2% rise to ₹302 crore, primarily due to exceptional items. However, excluding these exceptional items, PBT declined by 4.3% year-over-year. Profit After Tax (PAT) demonstrated strong growth, increasing by 31.2% to ₹233 crore compared to the prior year’s quarter.
Segment Performance
Commenting on the results, Mr. Aseem Joshi, Managing Director of 3M India, highlighted the consistent double-digit YoY sales growth for the fifth consecutive quarter. Specific segment growth figures include: Healthcare up 23.5%, Safety & Industrial up 23.0%, Transportation & Electronics up 14.4%, and Consumer up 13.4%.
Mr. Joshi attributed the strong performance to the company’s ongoing sales and marketing investments and a continued focus on commercial and innovation excellence. He also noted that the decline in profitability excluding exceptional items was mainly due to the impact of Indian Rupee depreciation.
