Time Technoplast Limited, a leading manufacturer of advanced composite products, announced on August 13, 2026, that it has received a significant order valued at ₹2.48 crore. The order is for the supply of a complete Type IV Composite Cylinder Hydrogen (H₂) Storage Cascade and Fuel Delivery System.

NTPC’s Pioneering Hydrogen Locomotive Initiative

This system will be utilized for NTPC Limited’s groundbreaking hydrogen-powered locomotive pilot project. The project marks a crucial step in advancing India’s hydrogen mobility sector and aligns with the ‘Make in India’ initiative. Time Technoplast’s involvement highlights its capability in providing indigenous solutions for the burgeoning hydrogen ecosystem.

Key Project Details

The company will provide an onboard H₂ storage and fuel delivery system operating at 350 bar, integrating its indigenously developed Type IV composite hydrogen cylinders. This order validates Time Technoplast’s expertise beyond cylinder manufacturing, extending to the design, engineering, and integration of complete high-pressure hydrogen storage and delivery systems. The project is expected to be executed within four months.
