Praj Industries: Re-appoints Independent Director Ms. Rujuta Jagtap for Three Years

Praj Industries Limited has announced the re-appointment of Ms. Rujuta Jagtap as an Independent Director. Her term will extend for a further period of three years, effective from August 21, 2026, to August 20, 2029. This decision was made by way of a Special Resolution by the shareholders. The company also noted the retirement of Non-Executive Director Mr. Berjis Desai upon the conclusion of the 40th Annual General Meeting.

Board Appointments and Changes at Praj Industries

Praj Industries Limited has officially confirmed changes to its board of directors following its 40th Annual General Meeting (AGM). The company announced that Ms. Rujuta Jagtap (DIN: 00861890) has been re-appointed as an Independent Director. This re-appointment is for a significant term of three years, commencing on August 21, 2026, and concluding on August 20, 2029. The decision was approved by shareholders through a Special Resolution.

Director Retirement

In a separate development, Mr. Berjis Desai (DIN: 00153675), who was a Non-Executive Director, has retired from his position. His retirement became effective upon the conclusion of the 40th AGM, held on August 13, 2026. Mr. Desai was liable to retire by rotation but did not offer himself for re-appointment, citing his prior appointment as a Member of the National Commission for Minorities and his time commitments.

Director Qualification

The company has also confirmed that Ms. Rujuta Jagtap is not debarred from holding the office of Director by any order passed by the Securities and Exchange Board of India or any other relevant authority. Details as required under Regulation 30 of SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, are provided in the annexure.

Ms. Rujuta Jagtap’s Profile

Ms. Rujuta Jagtap brings a wealth of experience to her role. She holds a Master’s in Business Management (MBA) in International Business from Symbiosis, completed in 2002. Currently, she serves as an Executive Director on the Board of Saj Test Plant Pvt. Ltd. and has been a member of the Board of Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA) since 2018. Her professional background includes over 23 years of diverse experience in management, administration, and marketing. She has previously worked with TATA Steel Ltd. and Standard Chartered Grindlays Bank. Notably, she is also recognized as the first Woman Chairperson of the Indo American Chamber of Commerce and has chaired the British Business Group. Ms. Jagtap is also associated with The Indus Entrepreneurs (TIE) and serves as a Judge on their Business Plan Competitions.
