Oswal Pumps: Wins ₹78 Crore Solar Order in Bihar

Oswal Pumps Limited has received a Letter of Award (LoA) from North Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited (NBPDCL) for the development of 20 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar projects. The project involves installing 1.1 kW capacity plants for 18,089 consumers in the Darbhanga Circle, under the PM Surya Ghar – Muft Bijli Yojana. The total value of this significant order is approximately ₹78 crore.

Significant Rooftop Solar Project Awarded

Oswal Pumps Limited announced on August 13, 2026, that it has secured a substantial contract from North Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited (NBPDCL). The award encompasses the design, supply, and installation of 20 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar capacity across 18,089 consumer sites in the Darbhanga Circle of Bihar. This initiative is part of the government’s ‘PM Surya Ghar – Muft Bijli Yojana’ (PMSG-MBY) scheme.

Project Scope and Commercial Value

Each rooftop solar plant will have a capacity of 1.1 kW. The projects are to be executed under the CAPEX Plus RESCO mode within the Utility-Led Aggregation (ULA) model. The total commercial consideration for this order, including GST, is approximately ₹78 crore. The company anticipates a long-term revenue potential of approximately INR 67 Crore from energy supply over a 10-year tenure under the RESCO model.

Timeline and Operational Scope

The projects are mandated to be commissioned within 9 months from the execution of the respective Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs). Following commissioning, the scope includes the operation and maintenance of these rooftop solar systems for a period of 10 years. This award builds upon Oswal Pumps’ earlier successes in Bihar and reinforces its growing presence in the national solar energy program.
