Shri Somesh Biswas brings a wealth of experience to the board, with a background as a retired employee of the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC). He possesses 34 years of experience in the insurance sector and has worked in various capacities, including as a programmer. Shri Biswas holds a Post Graduate degree in Arts (M.A.) and a Law Graduate degree (L.L.B.).
Board Independence
In compliance with relevant regulations, it has been declared that Shri Somesh Biswas is not related to any of the existing Directors of Indian Bank. Furthermore, he is confirmed to not be debarred from holding the office of Director by any SEBI order or other regulatory authority.
