Max Healthcare: Q1 FY27 Unaudited Results Show Profit Growth; Approves ₹425 Crore Capex

Max Healthcare Institute Limited announced its unaudited consolidated financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026. The company reported profits and approved a capital expenditure of ₹425 crore for the expansion of its Super Speciality Hospital in Vaishali. The board also approved the appointment of two new senior management personnel and noted the resignation of another.

Max Healthcare Announces Q1 FY27 Financial Results and Strategic Moves

Max Healthcare Institute Limited has released its unaudited consolidated financial results for the first quarter of the financial year ending June 30, 2026. The company’s Board of Directors, at their meeting held on August 13, 2026, transacted several key businesses, including the approval of these financial results and significant capital expenditure.

Financial Performance Highlights

The unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, were approved. For the consolidated entity, total income stood at ₹2,40,669 lakhs, with a profit after tax of ₹32,296 lakhs. The standalone results showed a total income of ₹87,502 lakhs and a profit after tax of ₹16,760 lakhs. These results were based on the recommendation of the Audit Committee.

Expansion and Capital Expenditure

A significant capital expenditure of approximately ₹425 crore was approved for the expansion of Max Super Speciality Hospital in Vaishali. This expansion involves the construction of an additional hospital block, ‘Tower 3’, on an adjacent land parcel. The project aims to add approximately 202 census beds and 48 non-census beds to the existing capacity. The new capacity is expected to be commissioned by November 2029.

Senior Management Changes

The Board also approved strategic appointments within its senior management. Mr. Ajay Vij has been appointed as Director – Chief Supply Chain & Procurement Officer, effective August 14, 2026. Additionally, Mr. Pawan Kumar Marella will join as Senior Director – Chief Experience & Brand Officer, effective August 17, 2026. In a separate development, Dr. N. Venkatesan, Senior Director & Chief Procurement Officer, has tendered his resignation, which will be effective from the closing hours of August 31, 2026, to pursue future career opportunities.

Other Business Approvals

The Board also granted its in-principle approval to explore and evaluate setting up medical colleges or medical institutions, either directly or through subsidiaries. This move is in response to proposed amendments by the National Medical Commission allowing such activities. Furthermore, amendments to the Company’s Memorandum of Association were approved to incorporate additional enabling objects aligned with the long-term business strategy.
